Allium prattii is a type of wild onion found in Asia. It grows naturally in places like Assam, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, and parts of China. This plant likes to grow high up in the mountains, usually at elevations between 2,000 and 4,900 meters (about 6,500 to 16,000 feet).

What is Allium Prattii?

Allium prattii is a plant that belongs to the same family as regular onions, garlic, and chives. It's a wild species, meaning it grows on its own in nature.

How Does Allium Prattii Look?

This plant has a tall, round stem called a scape. This scape can grow up to 60 centimeters (about 2 feet) tall. Its leaves are flat and long, shaped like narrow strips. They are usually a bit shorter than the main stem.

At the top of the scape, Allium prattii has a special flower cluster called an Umbel. This cluster looks like a half-sphere and holds many small flowers. These flowers can be red or purple, making the plant quite colorful.
