Alvarado (pronounced AL-və-RAY-doh) is a small city in Marshall County, Minnesota. It is located along the Snake River. In 2020, about 388 people lived there.
Two important roads, Minnesota Highway 1 and Minnesota Highway 220, pass through Alvarado.

Alvarado got its own post office in 1905. The city's name comes from a place called Alvarado in Mexico.
