He played for five seasons with teams like the Indianapolis Colts, Detroit Lions, and Seattle Seahawks. The Colts picked him in the 1983 NFL draft. College Football Career
Alvin Moore played for the Arizona State Sun Devils from 1978 to 1982. He was a key player for four of those years. This means he played well enough to earn a special award called a "letter."
Playing for the Sun Devils
- In 1978, he ran the ball 94 times for 448 yards. He also scored two touchdowns. He caught nine passes for 69 yards. He even threw a 54-yard touchdown pass!

Playing for the Colts
In his first year, 1983, Moore played in 15 games for the Colts. He ran for 205 yards and scored one touchdown. He also caught six passes for 38 yards.
In 1984, the team moved and became the Indianapolis Colts. Moore played in 13 games that year. He started two of them. He ran for 127 yards and scored two touchdowns. He also caught nine passes for 52 yards.
Time with the Detroit Lions
On July 25, 1985, Moore was traded to the Detroit Lions. He played in all 16 games for the Lions that season. He started five games. He ran for 221 yards and scored four touchdowns. He also caught 19 passes for 154 yards and one touchdown. Plus, he returned 13 kicks for 230 yards.

Short Time with the Seattle Seahawks
During the 1987 NFL players strike, Alvin Moore was signed by the Seattle Seahawks. He played in one game for them during that time. He ran three times for 15 yards. He was released on October 19, 1987, after the strike ended.
