Amazonia is a small village in Andrew County, Missouri, United States. It's located in Lincoln Township. In 2020, about 238 people lived there. Amazonia is also part of the larger St. Joseph metropolitan area.

History of Amazonia
Amazonia was first planned and settled in 1857. A post office, where people could send and receive mail, opened in 1859. No one is quite sure how the village got its unique name, Amazonia.

In 2010, the census counted 312 people living in Amazonia. There were 118 different households, which are groups of people living together in one home. Out of these, 83 were families.
