Amboy is a small town located in Miami County, Indiana. It is part of Jackson Township. In 2020, about 317 people lived there. This was a bit less than the 384 people counted in 2010.

History of Amboy
Amboy was officially planned out in 1867. This happened when the Pan Handle Railroad built its tracks to that spot. A post office has been serving Amboy residents since 1868.
Geography of Amboy
Amboy is found in the southeastern part of Miami County. Indiana State Road 19 goes right through the town. It is known as Main Street. This road goes northwest about 14 miles to Peru. Peru is the main city of the county. The road also goes southeast about 4 miles to Converse.
The U.S. Census Bureau says Amboy covers an area of about 0.34 square miles. All of this area is land. Honey Creek flows through the northwest side of Amboy. It then goes north to Pipe Creek. Pipe Creek flows northwest to the Wabash River near Lewisburg.
