Amel Bent Bachir (born on June 21, 1985), known as Amel Bent, is a famous French pop singer. She became well-known after reaching the semi-finals of a French TV singing show called Nouvelle Star. She is one of the most successful artists to come from that competition.
From 2018 to 2019, Amel Bent was a coach on The Voice Kids France. She also coached on The Voice France from 2020 to 2023.

About Amel Bent
Amel Bent grew up in a Paris suburb called La Courneuve. Her father is from Algeria, and her mother is from Morocco. She has one brother and one sister.
Her music career really took off after she made it to the semi-finals of Nouvelle Star 2. This show is like the French version of Pop Idol. Even though she didn't win, the show's producers noticed her talent.
Early Music Success
Amel Bent released her first album, Un Jour d'été, in late 2004. This album sold over 550,000 copies in France. The biggest hit from the album was her song "Ma philosophie". This song sold more than 500,000 copies and was number one in France for over six weeks.
Dancing and TV Coaching
In 2012, Amel Bent was a contestant on the third season of Danse avec les stars. This is the French version of Dancing with the Stars. She and her dance partner, Christophe Licata, finished in second place. They later won the show's Christmas special.
Amel Bent has also been a popular coach on TV singing competitions. She helped young singers on The Voice Kids France for two years. Then, she coached adult singers on The Voice France for four years.
