American Bank Center facts for kids
The American Bank Center is a large building in Corpus Christi, Texas. It has a big convention area and an arena with 8,156 seats. This center is a popular place for many different events.
It hosts lots of conventions, which are like big meetings for groups of people. You can also find exciting concerts and fun performances here. Many sporting events take place at the American Bank Center too.
The arena is home to the Corpus Christi Rayz ice hockey team. It's also where the Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Islanders men's and women's basketball teams play their games.
Besides the convention halls and the arena, the American Bank Center has a special place called the Selena Auditorium. This auditorium is named after the famous singer Selena. The entire American Bank Center is located in Corpus Christi's Bayfront Arts and Science Park.
