Amy Lysle Smart (born March 26, 1976) is an American actress. She has starred in many movies and TV shows. Her first film role was in Campfire Tales. She also had a small part in Starship Troopers.
Amy Smart became well-known after appearing in the teen movie Varsity Blues (1999). She also played Ruby in the TV series Felicity from 1999 to 2001. She then had a main role in the comedy Road Trip (2000). She also co-starred in Rat Race (2001). Later, she played a main role with Ashton Kutcher in The Butterfly Effect (2004).

Amy Smart was born on March 26, 1976, in Los Angeles, California. She grew up in Topanga Canyon. Her mother worked at a museum, and her father was a salesman. Amy studied ballet for ten years. She finished high school at Palisades Charter High School.

Amy Smart started her career as a model in Milan, Italy. There, she met another model, Ali Larter. They became good friends right away. When they were back in Los Angeles, they took acting classes together.
