Anna Kay Faris (born November 29, 1976) is an American actress and podcaster. She is well-known for her funny roles in movies and TV shows. She became famous for playing Cindy Campbell in the Scary Movie film series (2000–2006).
Her other movies include Lost in Translation (2003), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Just Friends (2005), and The House Bunny (2008). She has also lent her voice to animated movies like Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009–2013) and Alvin and the Chipmunks (2009–2015).
On television, Anna Faris played Erica in the last season of the show Friends (2004). She also starred as Christy Plunkett in the CBS sitcom Mom from 2013 to 2020. In 2015, Faris started her own advice podcast called Unqualified. She also published a book with the same name in 2017, which became a bestseller.

Early Life and Education
Anna Faris was born on November 29, 1976, in Baltimore, Maryland. Her father, Jack, was a professor, and her mother, Karen, was a special education teacher. When Anna was six years old, her family moved to Edmonds, Washington. Her parents always encouraged her to act.
When she was young, Anna started taking drama classes for kids. She loved watching plays and even created her own shows with friends at home. She attended Edmonds-Woodway High School, where she graduated in 1994. During high school, she performed in plays and radio shows. She later went to the University of Washington and earned a degree in English literature in 1999.
Anna's first professional acting job was at age nine in a play called Danger: Memory! at the Seattle Repertory Theatre. Becoming Famous with Scary Movie (2000–2006)
Anna Faris became widely known in 2000 when she starred in the comedy horror film Scary Movie. She played the main character, Cindy Campbell. She played Cindy Campbell again in Scary Movie 2 (2001) and Scary Movie 3 (2003).

In 2009, Faris was in the British science fiction comedy Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel. She also co-starred with Seth Rogen in the comedy Observe and Report. That year, she lent her voice to two successful animated movies: Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, where she voiced a weather intern, and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel, where she voiced Jeanette Miller.
In 2010, Faris starred in the live-action film Yogi Bear, playing a nature documentary filmmaker. The movie earned US$201 million worldwide. Her next film was the comedy Take Me Home Tonight in 2011. Personal Life
Anna Faris married actor Ben Indra in June 2004. They later divorced in 2008.
She met actor Chris Pratt in 2007 while working on the film Take Me Home Tonight. They got engaged in late 2008 and married on July 9, 2009, in a small ceremony in Bali, Indonesia. They have one son, Jack, who was born on August 25, 2012. Jack was born early and spent some time in intensive care before coming home. Anna Faris and Chris Pratt announced their separation in August 2017 and finalized their divorce in 2018.
In September 2017, Faris began dating cinematographer Michael Barrett, whom she met while filming Overboard. She confirmed their engagement in February 2020. In 2021, she confirmed that they had gotten married in a small ceremony in Washington State.
