Christopher Michael Pratt (born on June 21, 1979) is an American actor and film producer. He is known for starring in many popular movies that have earned a lot of money worldwide. This makes him one of the most successful film stars of all time. From 2015 to 2017, Chris Pratt was one of the highest-paid actors in the world. He has become a very important actor in Hollywood by appearing in big movie series and large-budget films.
Pratt started his acting journey with smaller roles. He then got a main role in the TV drama series Everwood (2002–2006). His big break came when he played Andy Dwyer in the NBC comedy show Parks and Recreation (2009–2015). Chris Pratt became famous around the world for playing Star-Lord in six films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Chris Pratt's Early Life and Education
Christopher Michael Pratt was born in Virginia, Minnesota, on June 21, 1979. His mother, Kathleen Louise "Kathy" (née Indahl), worked at a supermarket. His father, Daniel Clifton Pratt, had many different jobs, including mining and home remodeling. Chris has two older siblings, a sister named Angie and a brother named Daniel "Cully" Pratt. Chris has said that his brother Cully was a big inspiration for him to start acting. When Chris was very young, his family moved to Anchorage, Alaska. They lived there for a few years.
His family then moved around the United States many times, looking for work. When Chris was about six or seven, his family finally settled in Lake Stevens, Washington, near Seattle. Chris remembers a family vacation where he and his brother entered a dance competition and he won third place. As a child, he loved dancing to hip-hop music and music from movies like Saturday Night Fever. He also enjoyed Michael Jackson's music. Chris often read comic books and even spent $300 he won in a bingo game on them. He once shared that his home had a lot of art, with walls covered in comic book-style drawings. When Chris Pratt was nineteen, he was working as a waiter at a restaurant called the Bubba Gump Shrimp Company in Maui. There, he was discovered by actress and director Rae Dawn Chong. She was impressed by his friendly personality and cast him in her first short horror film, Cursed Part 3 (2000). Chris played a character named Devon. Rae Dawn Chong said that Chris was always prepared and his acting was amazing. Chris says that Cursed Part 3 taught him the basics of acting.
Chris's first regular role on television was as Harold Brighton "Bright" Abbott in the series Everwood (2002–2006).
