Christopher Michael Pratt (born June 21, 1979) is an American actor. He is known for starring in many popular movies and TV shows. His films have earned a lot of money worldwide. This makes him one of the highest-grossing actors of all time. Time magazine named him one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2015. He has become one of Hollywood's most successful stars.

Pratt started his acting career with smaller parts. He then got a main role in the TV drama Everwood (2002–2006). His big break came when he played Andy Dwyer in the TV comedy Parks and Recreation (2009–2015). He became famous worldwide for playing Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies. These include Guardians of the Galaxy (2014) and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023). He also played Star-Lord in other Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Christopher Michael Pratt was born in Virginia, Minnesota, on June 21, 1979. His mother, Kathleen, worked at a supermarket. His father, Daniel, had many different jobs. Chris has two older siblings, Angie and Daniel "Cully" Pratt. He says his brother Cully was a big influence on him. When Chris was young, his family moved around a lot. They lived in about twenty different homes across the United States.

When Pratt was six or seven, his family settled in Lake Stevens, Washington. As a child, he loved to dance to hip-hop music. He also enjoyed movies like Saturday Night Fever and music by Michael Jackson. Chris often read comic books. He once won $300 in a bingo game and spent it all on comics. He also liked to draw and copy art from comic books. As a teenager, he enjoyed music from the Beatles and rappers like Tupac Shakur. He also played the guitar.

In high school, Pratt was a talented wrestler. He finished fifth in a state tournament. He also competed in shot put for the track and field team. He graduated from Lake Stevens High School in 1997. In 2007, Chris Pratt met actress Anna Faris while filming Take Me Home Tonight. They got engaged in 2008 and married on July 9, 2009, in Bali, Indonesia. They had a son in 2012, who was born early. Pratt and Faris announced their separation in August 2017. Their divorce was finalized in October 2018.

Pratt began dating author Katherine Schwarzenegger in June 2018. Her mother, Maria Shriver, introduced them. They announced their engagement in January 2019. The couple married on June 8, 2019, in Montecito, California. They have three children together. Through his marriage to Katherine, Pratt became part of the extended Kennedy family.

Pratt was raised in the Lutheran faith. He later became a non-denominational Christian. He attends Zoe Church in Los Angeles. Pratt has stated that his church welcomes everyone.
