Nicholas Stoller (born March 19, 1976) is a talented British-American filmmaker. He is well-known for directing many popular comedy movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall (2008), Get Him to the Greek (2010), and Neighbors (2014). He also helped write the scripts for films such as The Muppets (2011) and Muppets Most Wanted (2014). Nicholas Stoller has also created and worked on several TV shows.

Early Life and Education
Nicholas Stoller was born in London, England, on March 19, 1976. He grew up in Miami, Florida, with his brother, Matt. His mother, Phyllis, worked with travel tours, and his father, Eric, was a bank executive.
Stoller went to high school at St. Paul's, a boarding school in New Hampshire. After high school, he attended Harvard College. While at Harvard, he wrote for The Harvard Lampoon, which is a famous comedy publication. He also performed with an improv comedy group called The Immediate Gratification Players.
Filmmaking Career
Nicholas Stoller began his career in the early 2000s. From 2000 to 2001, he wrote for a TV show called Undeclared. He then started working on movies.
Directing and Writing Films
Stoller's first movie as a director was Forgetting Sarah Marshall in 2008. This romantic comedy starred actors like Jason Segel and Kristen Bell. The movie was a success and was produced by Judd Apatow's company.
In 2008, he also wrote the script for Yes Man, a comedy movie starring Jim Carrey. Stoller then directed and wrote Get Him to the Greek (2010), which brought back actors Jonah Hill and Russell Brand from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
He also directed The Five-Year Engagement (2012), which he co-wrote with Jason Segel. This movie was about a couple's long engagement. Stoller directed the popular comedy Neighbors (2014) and its sequel Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (2016). He also helped write the script for a movie called ... Tape (2014).
In 2016, Nicholas Stoller wrote and directed the animated movie Storks for Warner Animation Group. More recently, he directed and wrote Bros (2022). He is also set to direct and write You're Cordially Invited (2025).
Working with The Muppets
Nicholas Stoller worked on two movies featuring the beloved Muppet characters. In 2008, he and Jason Segel co-wrote The Muppets, which was released in 2011. After this movie was very popular, Stoller co-wrote the sequel, Muppets Most Wanted (2014).
Television Projects
Besides movies, Stoller has also worked on television shows. He co-created The Carmichael Show (2015–2017) and Friends from College (2017–2019) with his wife, Francesca Delbanco. He directed all eight episodes of the first season of Friends from College.

Nicholas Stoller is married to Francesca Delbanco. They met in 2001 at a writing workshop for Harvard graduates and got married in 2005. They have two daughters together.
