This series is all about a young inventor named Flint Lockwood. He creates amazing, and sometimes messy, food-making machines! The films have been very popular. The Main Movies

The "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" series includes two main movies. They tell the story of Flint Lockwood and his friends.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs (2009)

This is the first movie in the series. It came out in 2009. It introduces us to Flint Lockwood, a young inventor. He lives on an island called Swallow Falls. Flint invents a machine that can turn water into food. This sounds great at first! But soon, the machine starts making giant food storms. This causes big problems for the island.

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2 (2013)

The second movie was released in 2013. It continues Flint's adventures. After the first movie, Flint and his friends must leave their home. They return to find that Flint's food machine is still working. But now, it's creating living food creatures! These creatures are called "Foodimals." Flint and his friends must stop the Foodimals before they cause more trouble.

The TV Show

The story of "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" also became a TV series.

A TV show based on the movies started in 2017. It aired until 2018. This series tells stories that happened before the first movie. It shows Flint Lockwood when he was in high school. He dreams of becoming a famous scientist.

In the TV show, Flint has many adventures. He is joined by Sam Sparks, a new girl in town. She wants to be a reporter. Other characters from the movies are also in the show. These include Flint's dad Tim, Steve the Monkey, and Manny. Earl is the school gym teacher. Brent is a baby wear model. Mayor Shelbourne is also there. The show was made by DHX Media. It aired on Cartoon Network in the United States.
