What is the show about?
This TV series is a prequel to the movies. This means it tells a story that happened before the movies. It shows us what happened when Flint Lockwood, the amazing young scientist, was in high school.
In the show, Flint has many adventures. He is joined by his friends:
- Sam Sparks, a new girl in town who wants to be a reporter.
- Flint's dad, Tim.
- Steve the Monkey, Flint's talking pet.
- Manny, who runs the school's audiovisual club.
- Earl, the school's gym teacher.
- Brent, who is still famous from his sardine commercial.
- Mayor Shelbourne, who is also the school principal. He always wins elections because he loves sardines!
The show explains that Flint and Sam actually met in high school. They became good friends back then. In the first episode, Flint even talks about inventing a memory eraser. He wants to help Sam if she ever has to move again. This is because she moved a lot and didn't want to be sad about losing another friend.
