Andik Vermansah (born November 23, 1991, in Jember, East Java, Indonesia) is a professional football player from Indonesia. He plays as a winger for the Liga 2 club Persiraja Banda Aceh. In 2012, ESPN Soccernet named him one of the top ten Asian players to watch.

Early Life of Andik Vermansah
Andik was born in Jember, East Java. His parents worked hard to support their family. His father was a coolie, and his mother was a tailor. Andik helped his family by selling ice when he was a child.
Even though his family didn't have much money, Andik dreamed of becoming a professional footballer. He worked very hard to achieve his dream. He sold cakes and ice to earn money. He even played in local village tournaments to buy football shoes.
Andik got his big chance when a coach named Rudi from SSB Suryanaga noticed his talent. Rudi offered Andik a spot at a football academy in Jember for free. This helped Andik start his journey in football.
Andik's Club Football Career
Starting His Career
Andik began his football journey with Persebaya (1927) U-18. With this team, he won the East Java Regional Youth League in 2007. That same year, Andik helped the city of Surabaya win gold medals at the Provincial Sports Week.
In 2008, Andik played a key role in helping East Java win a gold medal. This was at the National Sports Week held in Kalimantan.
Playing for Persebaya
Andik joined Persebaya after a successful tryout. He showed great potential and skill. He worked hard and impressed everyone with his speed and dribbling. Soon, he joined Persebaya's main team.
At just 17 years old, he was one of the youngest players on the squad. He played his first official game for Persebaya on August 29, 2008. He came on as a substitute in the 77th minute. His team won 2-0 against Persekabpas Pasuruan.
Overseas Trials
In October 2011, a big Italian club, Inter Milan, showed interest in Andik. Later, on September 7, 2012, Andik went to try out for Major League Soccer team D.C. United in the United States. He played a few games for their reserve team. However, he did not sign a contract and returned to Persebaya.
On October 6, 2013, Andik had another trial, this time with Ventforet Kofu in Japan. In his first game for their reserves, he scored a goal against Shimizu S-Pulse. His performance was even reported in Japanese newspapers. About 2,000 fans watched the game and were impressed.
Joining Selangor FA
On December 1, 2013, Andik signed a two-year contract with Malaysia Super League team Selangor. He chose Selangor because it offered him a good opportunity.
Andik played his first game for Selangor in the 2014 Malaysia FA Cup. This was on January 22, 2014, in a 2-0 win against Harimau Muda C. On March 25, he scored his first league goal for Selangor. This was in a 2-0 victory over Sarawak in the 2014 Malaysia Super League.
Andik helped Selangor FA finish as Runner-Up in the 2014 Malaysian Super League. He was a main reason for their success in both the 2014 and 2015 seasons. He also made many assists for his team during the 2014 season. He then signed a new contract with Selangor for the 2015 season.
Andik also holds the record for the second-fastest goal in Malaysia Super League history. He scored a goal just 28 seconds into a match against Johor Darul Ta'zim FC.
Playing for Kedah
On February 9, 2018, Andik signed with another Malaysia Super League team, Kedah. He was given jersey number 30. Andik made his league debut on February 11, 2018, in a 1-0 win against PKNP. On June 22, 2018, Andik scored his first league goal for Kedah. This was against Kuala Lumpur in a 3-2 victory.
Time at Madura United
On December 24, 2018, Andik signed with Liga 1 club Madura United. He played his first game for Madura United on February 29, 2019. This was in the 2018–19 Piala Indonesia against Cilegon United. He also scored his first goal for the team in that game, helping them win 2-0.
Andik made his first Liga 1 appearance on May 17, 2019. He started in a 5-1 win against Persela Lamongan. On May 24, 2019, Andik scored his first goal for Madura United in a 1-0 victory over Barito Putera. During his time at Madura United, he played in 24 league games and scored 2 goals.
Joining Bhayangkara
In 2020, Andik signed a one-year contract with Indonesian Liga 1 club Bhayangkara. He made his league debut on March 6, 2020, in a 1-1 draw against Persik Kediri.
On August 29, 2021, he started playing in the 2021–22 Liga 1 season for Bhayangkara. He came on as a substitute in a 2-1 win over Persiraja Banda Aceh. He played the whole game in a win against Bali United on October 23.
On January 14, 2022, he played 84 minutes in a win against Madura United. In that game, he made two assists. On December 5, 2022, Andik scored his first league goal for Bhayangkara in the 2022–23 Liga 1. This was in a 3-1 victory over PSS Sleman.
