Andoas is a small village located in the Loreto Region of Peru, a country in South America. It sits right on the Pastaza River. This village is about 44 kilometers (27 miles) downstream from Peru's border with Ecuador.

Andoas is quite far from the capital of its region, Iquitos. It is about 696 kilometers (432 miles) away. The village is also located almost exactly 200 miles south of the equator, an imaginary line around the middle of the Earth.

Oil Fields and Resources

Andoas is located close to an important area known as Exploitation Lot 192. This area is one of Peru's major oil fields. An oil field is a place where a lot of oil is found underground.

The oil found here is a valuable natural resource for Peru. It is used for energy and many other products. The presence of these oil fields means that the area around Andoas is important for the country's economy.

Transportation and Access

Even though Andoas is a small village, it has access to air travel. The village is served by the Alférez FAP Alfredo Vladimir Sara Bauer Airport. This airport is located about 13 kilometers (8 miles) upstream from Andoas.

The airport helps connect Andoas and nearby communities to other parts of Peru. It is especially important in this remote jungle region where roads are not common. People and goods can travel by air, making it easier to reach and leave the area.
