Andover's Story: A Look Back
Andover got its name from a town in Tolland County, Connecticut. Many early settlers came from there in 1798. They moved into an area of Ohio called the Connecticut Western Reserve.
A post office first opened in 1815. It was called Sharon, but its name changed to Andover in 1826. Andover officially became a village in 1883.
