Andrea Sestini Hlaváčková (born August 10, 1986) is a former professional tennis player from the Czech Republic. She was known for her amazing skills in doubles matches.
Andrea won three Grand Slam titles in her career. She won the French Open in 2011 and the US Open in 2013 in women's doubles. Both times, her partner was Lucie Hradecká. She also won the US Open in mixed doubles in 2013 with Max Mirnyi.
She also did very well in other big tournaments. She was a runner-up (finished second) in women's doubles at Wimbledon and the US Open in 2012. She also reached the finals of the Australian Open in 2016 and 2017. Andrea reached her highest doubles ranking of world No. 3 in October 2012. She won 27 doubles titles on the WTA Tour, including the WTA Finals in 2017 with Tímea Babos.
In singles, Andrea reached her highest ranking of world No. 58 in September 2012. She played in one WTA Tour final in Gastein in 2013. Her best singles result at a major tournament was reaching the fourth round of the 2012 US Open. Andrea was also part of the Czech team that won the Fed Cup in 2012 and 2014. She won a silver medal in doubles at the 2012 London Olympics with Lucie Hradecká.

About Andrea's Life
Andrea married Fabrizio Sestini, a former Italian tennis player, in July 2017. After that, she started competing under her new name, Andrea Sestini Hlaváčková. They have two daughters named Isabella (born 2019) and Bea (born 2024).
Andrea's older sister, Jana Hlaváčková, was also a professional tennis player.
Andrea's Tennis Journey
Andrea started playing tennis when she was just three years old. She loved the sport from a very young age.
Junior Tennis Success
When she was a junior player, Andrea was very good. She was the top-ranked girls doubles player at the end of 2003. Her best singles ranking as a junior was No. 5 in January 2004. She won three singles titles and 15 doubles titles during her junior career.
Starting Professional Tennis
Andrea won her first professional doubles title in 2003. This was at an International Tennis Federation (ITF) event. In May 2006, she won her first ITF singles title in Spain. She continued to win many doubles titles with different partners.
In 2007, Andrea won her first WTA doubles title with Petra Cetkovská. They won the title in their home country at the Prague Open. She also won four more ITF doubles titles that year, including one with Lucie Hradecká.
Partnering with Lucie Hradecká
Andrea and Lucie Hradecká became a very successful team. They won the 2008 ECM Prague Open and the 2008 Gastein Ladies titles together in 2008.
In 2010, Andrea won three more singles titles at smaller tournaments.
Grand Slam Wins and Olympic Medal
Andrea won her first Grand Slam title in doubles with Lucie Hradecká at the 2011 French Open. They beat Sania Mirza and Elena Vesnina in the final. She also won two ITF singles titles in 2011.
A big moment for Andrea was on August 5, 2012. She won a silver medal at the London Olympics with Lucie Hradecká in women's doubles.
At the US Open in 2012, Andrea had her best singles performance at a Grand Slam. She reached the fourth round, but then lost to the famous player Serena Williams.
In 2013, Andrea had an amazing US Open. She won two titles! She won the mixed-doubles title with Max Mirnyi and the women's doubles title with Lucie Hradecká.
Andrea won her eighth ITF singles title in her hometown of Plzeň in August 2015.
During the Rio Summer Olympics on August 13, 2016, Andrea's left eye was hit by a ball during a match.
Andrea announced her official retirement from tennis on June 17, 2022, after the 2022 Prague Open.
