Andreas Heraf (born 10 September 1967) is an Austrian football manager and former player. He was most recently the head coach for the German team BFC Dynamo. Before that, he worked as the technical director for New Zealand Football. He also coached the New Zealand women's national team.

Andreas Heraf was a strong player in the middle of the field. He played for several clubs during his career.
Early Club Days
Heraf began his professional playing journey at Rapid Wien. In 1988, he moved to First Vienna, another team in his home city. He also played for Austria Salzburg for a short time. After that, he joined Vorwärts Steyr.
Return to Rapid Wien
After playing for Hannover 96 in Germany, Heraf came back to Rapid Wien. This was a big part of his career. In 1996, he played in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup Final. His team, Rapid Wien, played against Paris St Germain in Brussels. Unfortunately, Rapid Wien lost that match. He finished his playing career at FC Kärnten.
Playing for Austria
Andreas Heraf also played for his country, Austria.
National Team Debut
He first played for the Austrian national team in April 1996. This was a friendly game against Hungary. He was part of the team for the 1998 FIFA World Cup. Even though he was in the squad, he did not play in any matches during the World Cup.
International Goals and Caps
Heraf played a total of 11 games for Austria. He scored one goal for his country. This goal came in a match against Latvia in 1997. His last game for Austria was in October 1998. It was a World Cup qualification match against San Marino.
Coaching Career
After he stopped playing, Andreas Heraf became a football manager. He has coached many different teams.
First Coaching Roles
His first coaching jobs were with clubs like Austria Lustenau, SC Schwanenstadt, and FC Superfund. He also coached SC-ESV Parndorf 1919 for a few months. After that, he started working with the Austrian national youth teams. He coached the Austria U20 team from 2008 to 2015. Then, he coached the Austria U17 team from 2015 to 2017.
New Zealand Women's National Team
In April 2017, Heraf became the technical director for New Zealand Football. Later that year, he also took on the role of coach for the New Zealand women's national team.
After a match in June 2018, some players raised concerns about his coaching style. An independent investigation was started to look into these concerns. On 31 July 2018, it was announced that Heraf and New Zealand Football had decided to part ways. He left his roles by the end of that week.
Return to Europe
After his time in New Zealand, Heraf returned to Europe. He coached Floridsdorfer AC and SV Ried. In December 2021, he joined Türkgücü München. In December 2022, Heraf was named manager of Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz.
On 25 April 2024, Heraf became the head coach of the German team BFC Dynamo. However, he had to resign on 2 September 2024. This was due to health reasons, as he suffered from a back problem. His contract with the club was ended.
