Andrew Donald DeClercq, born on February 1, 1973, is a former professional basketball player from America. He played as a center and power forward in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for ten seasons. DeClercq played college basketball for the University of Florida. After college, he played professionally for the Golden State Warriors, Boston Celtics, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Orlando Magic in the NBA. He also became a basketball coach after his playing career.

Early Life and College Basketball
Andrew DeClercq was born in Detroit, Michigan, in 1973. He loved basketball and was very good at it. He earned a special scholarship to attend the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida.
Playing for the Florida Gators
From 1991 to 1995, Andrew played center for the Florida Gators men's basketball team. His coach was Lon Kruger. Andrew was a very important player for the Gators. In 1994, he helped his team reach the NCAA Final Four for the very first time. This was a huge achievement for the University of Florida's basketball program. Andrew graduated from Florida in 1995 with a degree in history.
Professional NBA Career
After college, Andrew DeClercq was chosen by the Golden State Warriors in the 1995 NBA draft. He was the thirty-fourth player picked overall. He played for the Warriors for two seasons.
Teams Andrew DeClercq Played For
Andrew then played for several other NBA teams. He joined the Boston Celtics, then the Cleveland Cavaliers, and finally the Orlando Magic. During his time in the NBA, he averaged 4.8 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. He was known for his strong defense and hard work on the court.
Life After Playing Basketball
After retiring from playing in the NBA, Andrew DeClercq continued to be involved in basketball. He became an assistant coach for the boys' basketball team at Montverde Academy. This team was very highly ranked nationally.
Coaching and Community Work
In 2010, Andrew became the head coach for the boys' varsity team at Foundation Academy. He also taught physical education there. For several years, until 2014, he ran his own basketball program called DeClercq Basketball. This program offered day camps, training, and clinics for young basketball players in central Florida.
Andrew DeClercq lives in Clermont, Florida. As of 2017, he has been working as an executive pastor at HighPoint Church in Ocoee, Florida.
