Early Books and Diaries
Andrés Trapiello published his first book of poems, Junto al agua, in 1980. He even helped create the publishing group for this book himself. His first novel, La tinta simpática, came out in 1988.
In 1990, he started a series of diaries called El gato encerrado. This series is now known as Salón de pasos perdidos. It has grown to 21 volumes and is considered a very important collection in modern Spanish literature.
