Dream Move to Rangers

On 18 July 2015, Andy signed a two-year deal with his childhood favorite team, Rangers. He even had the option for a third year. He scored in his very first game for Rangers. This was a 6–2 win against Hibernian in the Scottish Challenge Cup.

He scored his first league goal for Rangers in August. It was in a 5–1 win against Queen of the South. In December 2015, he scored his first home goal at Ibrox.

In 2016, Andy continued to play well. He signed a new four-year contract until 2020. He scored against teams like Dumbarton and Raith Rovers. In the 2016 Scottish Challenge Cup Final, he scored a penalty. He also scored a penalty in the Scottish Cup semi-final against Celtic. In the 2016 Scottish Cup Final, he scored a "stunning" long-range goal. However, Rangers lost the final 3–2.

The next season, Andy made his Scottish Premiership debut in August 2016. He played in a 1–1 draw against Hamilton Academical. He was named captain for a League Cup match against Queen of the South. He scored the second goal in a 5–0 win.

Andy's playing time became less frequent under new manager Pedro Caixinha. Rangers finished the season in third place.

Loan to Gabala

Under new manager Steven Gerrard in 2018–19, Andy played more often. He played as a full-back or midfielder. He also made seven appearances in the Europa League. In a big league game against Celtic in December 2018, Rangers won 1–0. Gerrard praised Andy, calling him his "unofficial captain."

On 19 May 2020, it was announced that Andy would leave Rangers. His contract ended at the end of May.
