Andy Rivera was born in Pereira, Colombia. His father, Jhonny Rivera, is also a well-known Colombian singer. Andy started his music journey with his dad when he was just 12 years old. He spent his free time practicing singing and playing the piano.

Starting His Career

Even though his dad was a musician, Andy chose to focus on reggaeton and urban music. These styles were becoming very popular in the early 2010s. In March 2012, he released his first song, "En Busca Con Ella." He worked on this song with his friend Pipe Calderon.

By July 2012, Andy Rivera became famous across Latin America. This happened with his hit song "Te Pintaron Pajaritos." This song featured the artists Yandar & Yostin. The music video for this song has been watched over 97 million times on YouTube.
