Justin Quiles: Early Life and Career
Justin Quiles was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut. His family is from Puerto Rico. He grew up in Puerto Rico but later moved back to Connecticut to finish high school.
He wrote his first song when he was 13 years old. He says his older brother's music influenced him a lot. He listened to artists like El General, salsa, and hip hop. He also liked Wisin y Yandel, Tego Calderon, and Don Omar.
Quiles moved back to Puerto Rico to become a singer. He started working with the music duo Genio & Baby Johnny. A year later, he went to Orlando. There, he recorded his first song, "Algo Contigo," with producer Lelo.
In August 2013, Justin Quiles signed with the record label Rich Music. This label is based in Miami. His first song with Rich Music was "Orgullo." A remix of this song with Colombian singer J Balvin became very popular. It reached the Top 20 on the Billboard Latin Rhythm Airplay chart.
