Angelique Sabrina (born February 7, 1998) is a talented singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress from the Bahamas. She is known for her pop and R&B music.

Early Life and Music Beginnings

Angelique Sabrina was born in Nassau, Bahamas, on February 7, 1998. She grew up in a family that loved music. Her dad, Gregg White, was a music producer. He even signed the famous hip-hop group Arrested Development.

Angelique started learning music at a young age. She studied piano, guitar, and drums. She also spent a lot of time learning songs from Broadway shows, Disney movies, and artists like Frank Sinatra and Diana Ross.

When she was just 9 years old, Angelique entered a talent show. She sang an original song she wrote herself and won second place! After that, she performed at many school events. By the time she was 11, her own songs were already playing on local radio stations in the Bahamas.

Music Career Highlights

When Angelique was 12, her parents helped her start recording music in a studio. She also began taking vocal lessons. Her music videos on YouTube caught the eye of Gary Bernstein, a radio expert. He teamed up with Angelique's dad to help manage her career.

First Hit Songs

Angelique's first song, "Pull Up," came out in the summer of 2012. It quickly became popular on radio stations around the world. The music video for "Pull Up" was shown on MTV Buzzworthy. MTV even called Angelique "the next Rihanna"!

In February 2014, Angelique released a beautiful song called "I'm Ready." The music video for this song was filmed in her hometown of Nassau, Bahamas.

Other Achievements

In July 2013, Angelique was named one of the "Top 40 Under 40" in the Bahamas. This award recognized her as one of the most successful young people in her country.

Working with Cable Bahamas

Angelique signed a deal to become the new spokesperson for Cable Bahamas, a big communications company in the Bahamas. She was only the second person to get such a deal.

She helped them launch new products and appeared in many commercials. In July 2013, Cable Bahamas released a short film of Angelique singing the Bahamian national anthem, "March On, Bahamaland." The video was filmed across six major islands in the Bahamas. It ended with a huge choir and marching band. Her contract with Cable Bahamas ended in December 2014.

Live Performances

Angelique has performed at many important events. In 2012, she had a sold-out show at Webster Hall in New York City with singer Ryan Beatty.

She also performed for famous actor Sir Sidney Poitier twice. The first time was in 2012, during a special ceremony in the Bahamas. Angelique wrote a song just for him called "The Measure of a Man." She sang it live for Sir Sidney Poitier and other celebrities, including Oprah Winfrey. She sang for him again in 2016 at his 89th birthday party in Los Angeles.
