Angus Turner Jones (born October 8, 1993) is an American actor. He started acting when he was very young. His first movie was Simpatico in 1999. He then had roles in films like See Spot Run (2001) and The Rookie (2002).

Angus T. Jones became very well-known for playing Jake Harper on the TV show Two and a Half Men. He was on the show from 2003 to 2013. For his role, he won two Young Artist Awards and a TV Land Award. In 2012, he shared some thoughts about the show, and his character's role was changed. He left the show in 2014 but came back for the final episode in 2015.

During the ninth season of the show (2011-2012), Jake's character grew up. Angus T. Jones mentioned in March 2012 that he felt a bit uncomfortable with some of the new storylines for Jake. He said it felt "very awkward" to act out more grown-up situations when he was still a teenager.

In November 2012, Jones shared that he had found a new religious faith. He said he no longer wanted to be on Two and a Half Men because he felt it didn't fit with his beliefs. He even suggested that people stop watching the show. After this, he released a statement saying he was thankful for his time on the show.

His character, Jake, did not appear in the last few episodes of season 10. In April 2013, it was announced that his role would be smaller for season 11. However, he did not appear in Season 11 at all. Another actress, Amber Tamblyn, joined the show. On March 18, 2014, Angus T. Jones officially said he was leaving the show. He did return for a short appearance in the very last episode of the series, which aired on February 19, 2015.

Life Outside Acting

In October 2012, Angus T. Jones talked about his religious journey in a radio interview. In 2016, he joined a company called Tonite, which creates multimedia and events.

Later in 2016, Jones said he was no longer part of certain faith-based groups. He also shared that he was interested in acting again. After leaving Two and a Half Men, he attended the University of Colorado Boulder.

Helping Others

Angus T. Jones has used his fame to support many good causes. On June 7, 2008, he helped the First Star Organization. This group works to help children who have been abused or neglected.

Two months later, he joined other famous people at the "Rock 'N Roll Fantasy Camp." On October 4, 2008, Jones went to an event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. This hospital helps children with serious illnesses.

In October 2009, Jon Cryer, his co-star from Two and a Half Men, gave Jones an award. It was the Rising Star of 2009 award from Big Brothers Big Sisters. Jones has also supported the Be A Star alliance, which works to prevent bullying.
