TV Land Award facts for kids
The TV Land Awards was an American awards show that celebrated classic television shows. Unlike the Emmys, which honor current shows, the TV Land Awards focused on shows that were no longer on the air. This gave fans a chance to see the stars of their favorite old shows together again.
The show was created by producer Michael Levitt and was broadcast on the TV Land channel. It ran from 2003 to 2012, and then came back for two more years in 2015 and 2016. The winners received a special trophy made by the New York company, Society Awards.
Awards were given out in many fun categories that often changed each year. Some awards were even voted on by viewers online. In 2016, the show was renamed the "TV Land Icon Awards" for its final ceremony.
