About the Story
Spot's Secret Mission
The movie starts with Agent 11, a brave FBI dog. He works with his partner, Murdoch, in Seattle. They are trying to catch a bad guy named Sonny Talia. Agent 11 attacks Sonny and hurts him. Sonny is then taken to the hospital. To get back at Agent 11, Sonny sends two of his helpers, Gino and Arliss, to find and hurt the dog. To keep Agent 11 safe, the FBI sends him to a training place in Alaska.
Gordon Meets Spot
Agent 11 escapes from the training center. He then meets Gordon Smith, who delivers mail. Gordon does not really like dogs. He has also agreed to look after James, the young son of his neighbor, Stephanie. Gino and Arliss are still looking for Agent 11. James gives the dog a new name: "Spot."
A Dog's Life Changes
Spot was trained not to play with balls or frisbees. Murdoch had told him not to play when he was a puppy. But with Gordon and James, Spot starts to act like a normal, playful dog. Later, Gino and Arliss try to hurt Spot. This happens when Spot is with Gordon and James at a pet store. But Spot is very smart and outsmarts them.
Spot's Big Choice
The FBI finds out that Spot is living with Gordon. They take Spot back to their care. But Spot escapes again! He finds Gordon and James once more. Sonny, the bad guy, comes back and tries to hurt Spot. But Spot is too clever. Sonny gets caught and goes to jail. The FBI agents try to take Spot back. In the end, they let Spot choose where he wants to live. He picks Gordon and James. He gives Murdoch a goodbye lick. Stephanie comes home and is upset at first. But James tells her that Gordon is a good person. Gordon and Stephanie then become a couple.
