Constance Marie Lopez is an American actress. She is famous for playing Angelina "Angie" Lopez in the TV show George Lopez from 2002 to 2007. She also played Marcela Quintanilla, who was Selena's mother, in the 1997 movie Selena. Constance Marie was also known for her role as Regina Vasquez in the TV series Switched at Birth (2011–2017). More recently, she played Camila Diaz in the show Undone from 2019 to 2022.

Early Life and Dance
Constance Marie grew up in East Los Angeles. When she was 19, she performed as a dancer in a musical called Cosmopolis in Japan. The music for this show was created by Ryuichi Sakamoto.
After returning to Los Angeles, a dance choreographer named Toni Basil saw her dancing at a club. Toni Basil worked with David Bowie. Constance Marie was then hired to dance on David Bowie's 1987 Glass Spider Tour. She also appeared in the 1988 concert video Glass Spider, which showed performances from that tour.
Acting Career Highlights
Constance Marie started acting when she was a teenager. Her first film role was in the 1988 movie Salsa. She also appeared in other TV shows and films like Early Edition, Dirty Dancing, Spin City, and Ally McBeal.
One of her most well-known roles was as Angie Lopez in the ABC comedy series George Lopez. In 2001, Marie also starred in the movie Tortilla Soup with actors like Héctor Elizondo. She was also part of the PBS drama series American Family.
From 2011 to 2017, Constance Marie had a main role in the TV show Switched at Birth. She played Regina Vasquez, who was the birth mother of one of the main characters.
Other Projects
In October 2007, Constance Marie started her own clothing line called "The Constance Marie Collection." In the same year, she appeared in an advertisement for PETA. In the ad, she encouraged people to spay and neuter their pets.
Personal Life
Constance Marie was in a relationship with yoga instructor Kent Katich for 15 years. Their relationship ended in September 2015. They have one daughter, who was born in 2009. Constance Marie has been a vegetarian for a long time and raised her daughter as a vegetarian too.
