Anita is a small city in Cass County, Iowa, United States. It was first planned out in 1869 and officially became a city in 1875. In 2020, about 963 people lived there. Just outside of Anita, you can find Lake Anita State Park, a great place for outdoor activities.

History of Anita
On June 27, 1953, a very strong tornado passed just east of Anita. This powerful storm caused one death and injured two other people.
