Anna Popplewell is an English actress born on December 16, 1988. She started acting in small roles in TV movies and films like Mansfield Park (1999) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003). She became very well known for playing Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia movies from 2005 to 2010. These movies made a lot of money worldwide and helped her win several awards.
After Narnia, Anna played Chyler Silva in the web series Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn (2012). She also starred as Lady Lola in the historical drama series Reign from 2013 to 2016. Anna Popplewell was born in London, England. She is the oldest of three children. Her father, Sir Andrew Popplewell, is a judge, and her mother, Debra Lomas, is a skin doctor. Anna has two younger siblings, Lulu and Freddie. Her grandfather, Sir Oliver Popplewell, was also a judge, and her uncle, Nigel Popplewell, used to be a cricketer.
Anna went to North London Collegiate School. In 2007, she was accepted into Oxford University. There, she studied English Language and Literature at Magdalen College.

Anna Popplewell started acting when she was just six years old. She took drama classes to learn the basics. Her first professional acting job was in a TV show called Frenchman's Creek in 1998. She then appeared in her first movie, Mansfield Park, in 1999. She also had supporting roles in films like The Little Vampire (2000) and Girl with a Pearl Earring (2003), where she acted alongside Scarlett Johansson.
Her biggest role came in 2005 when she played Susan Pevensie in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. She was 16 years old at the time. Interestingly, Anna has a fear of mice, so a stunt double had to help with one of her scenes. This movie was a huge success and was loved by both critics and audiences.
Anna played Susan Pevensie again in the next Narnia movie, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008). In this film, she worked with her co-stars William Moseley, Skandar Keynes, Georgie Henley, and Ben Barnes. In 2012, Anna Popplewell played Chyler Silva in a five-part online mini-series called Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn. The next year, in 2013, she began playing Lola in the TV series Reign. Lola was a friend of Mary, Queen of Scots. This show was filmed in Ireland and Canada, and Anna played the role until 2016.
