Anna Renee Todd (born March 20, 1989) is an American author. She also works as a film producer and screenwriter. Anna Todd is famous for writing the After book series. She first shared these stories on Wattpad, a website where people can read and write stories. Later, the books were printed and translated into many languages.
In 2018, Anna Todd started her own company called Frayed Pages. In 2021, she also announced a special publishing group with Wattpad.
Anna Todd's Writing Journey
Anna Todd's writing was inspired by the music group One Direction. The character Hardin Scott in her After series is based on singer Harry Styles. She began writing stories on her phone in 2013. She published a new chapter almost every day for over a year. Anna Todd wrote three books in the After series on Wattpad.
In 2015, Todd shared that she would publish Before. This book tells the After story from Hardin Scott's point of view. Her next book, The Spring Girls, came out in 2018. It is a new version of the classic story Little Women.
In October 2014, Paramount Pictures bought the rights to make movies from the After series. The first film was released on April 12, 2019. Josephine Langford plays Tessa, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin plays Hardin in the movie.

In 2021, Anna Todd started her own publishing group with Wattpad Books. It is called Frayed Pages. This group will publish Anna Todd's new books. It will also publish books by other writers. In November 2021, it was announced that After would become a graphic novel. It was planned to be released in May 2022.
In February 2022, Cosmopolitan magazine announced Todd's new novel. It is called The Falling. This book is a rewritten version of her earlier work, The Brightest Stars. It tells the story of a young girl named Karina. She falls in love with Kael, a soldier. Kael is trying to get better after serving in Afghanistan. Two more books, The Burning and The Infinite Light of Dust, will complete this series.

Anna Todd grew up in Dayton, Ohio. In 2007, she married Jordan Todd, who was a soldier. They moved to Fort Hood, Texas. There, she worked at places like Waffle House and ULTA Beauty. Anna and Jordan divorced in 2022. They have one son named Asher.
Anna Todd once shared a mailbox with a film critic named Korey Coleman. Years later, he reviewed the After movie. He gave it a negative review.
