Hero Fiennes Tiffin (born November 6, 1997) is an English actor, model, and film producer. He is best known for playing Hardin Scott in the After movie series. He also played a young Tom Riddle in the film Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Early Life

Hero Fiennes Tiffin was born in London, England. His mother is film director Martha Fiennes, and his father is cinematographer George Tiffin. He has an older brother named Titan and a younger sister named Mercy. Hero went to Reay Primary School, Emanuel School, and Graveney School. He comes from the famous Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes family. His uncles are the well-known actors Ralph Fiennes and Joseph Fiennes.

Playing Tom Riddle in Harry Potter

Hero Fiennes Tiffin first appeared in a film called Bigga than Ben in 2008. After that, he got the part of 16-year-old Tom Riddle in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Many young actors tried out for this role.

Some people thought he got the part because of his famous family. However, the director, David Yates, said Hero was chosen because he was very good at showing the "darker side" of the character. Yates also said that Hero's family connection to Ralph Fiennes (who plays Voldemort) was a "bonus" because they looked alike. The director described Hero as "very focused" and said he captured the "dark moods and odd spirit" of Tom Riddle perfectly.

Acting and Modeling Career

After Harry Potter, Hero Fiennes Tiffin acted in British TV shows like Private Peaceful (2012) and Safe (2018). In 2019, he got the main role of Hardin Scott in the movie After. This movie was very popular, and it led to four sequels: After We Collided (2020), After We Fell (2021), After Ever Happy (2022), and After Everything (2023). Hero played Hardin Scott in all of them.

He also starred in the action movie The Silencing (2020) and the romantic drama First Love (2022). In 2023, he appeared in the historical drama The Woman King with Viola Davis. In 2024, he was in The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare.
