Who Was Anne Christine?
Anne Christine was born on February 5, 1704. Her father was Theodore Eustace, the Count Palatine of Sulzbach. Her mother was Eleonore of Hesse-Rheinfels.
On March 15, 1722, Anne Christine married Charles Emmanuel of Savoy. He was the Prince of Piedmont. He later became King of Sardinia as Charles Emmanuel III. Charles Emmanuel was the second son of Victor Amadeus II and Anne Marie d'Orléans. He was the next in line to the throne of Savoy.
The next year, Anne Christine gave birth to a son. He was given the title of Duke of Aosta. She died just a few days later, on March 12, 1723. She was only nineteen years old. This happened in Turin.
