Antón García Abril (born May 19, 1933 – died March 17, 2021) was a famous Spanish composer and musician. He wrote many kinds of music, including classical pieces for orchestras and smaller groups. He also created over 150 music scores for movies and TV shows!

Life and Career
Antón García Abril was a very important teacher. From 1974 to 2003, he led the music composition department at the Madrid Royal Conservatory. This is a famous music school in Spain.
In 1982, he became a member of the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Fernando. This is a special academy for fine arts in Madrid. He also joined the Real Academia de Bellas Artes de San Carlos in Valencia in 2008. These academies recognize top artists.
In 1994, Antón García Abril won a big award. He received Spain's Premio Nacional de Música for his amazing compositions. He passed away in 2021 when he was 87 years old.
