Ante Rebić (born on September 21, 1993) is a professional footballer from Croatia. He mainly plays as a left winger, which means he plays on the side of the field. He can also play in other attacking positions.
Rebić started his professional career at RNK Split in Croatia. In 2013, he moved to the Italian club Fiorentina. During his time there, he was loaned to several other clubs like RB Leipzig, Hellas Verona, and Eintracht Frankfurt. He later joined Eintracht Frankfurt permanently. In 2019, he returned to Italy to play for AC Milan, first on loan and then permanently. After playing for AC Milan, he joined Beşiktaş in Turkey and then Lecce in Italy.
He first played for the Croatian national team in 2013. He represented Croatia in the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and 2018. In 2018, his team reached the World Cup final. He also played for Croatia in the UEFA Euro 2020 tournament.

Ante Rebić's Football Journey
Early Club Days
Rebić began playing football at a young age for a youth team called Vinjani. In 2008, he moved to Imotski and played there for two seasons. After showing great skill at a tournament in Italy in 2010, he joined RNK Split.
Playing for RNK Split
Rebić made his first team debut for RNK Split on May 21, 2011. He scored a goal in that match, which ended in a 1–1 draw against Dinamo Zagreb. In August 2011, he signed a professional contract with RNK Split. During the 2011–12 season, he scored 5 goals in 20 league games. In the 2012–13 season, he scored 10 goals in 29 league games.
Moving to Fiorentina

On August 28, 2013, Rebić signed a five-year contract with Serie A club Fiorentina in Italy. He was given the number 9 shirt. He made his debut on September 30, 2013, in a match against Parma. He scored his first goal for Fiorentina on January 8, 2014, in a Coppa Italia match. On May 18, he scored his first goal in Serie A.
Loan Spells from Fiorentina
On August 3, 2014, Rebić was loaned to 2. Bundesliga club RB Leipzig in Germany for a season. After returning to Fiorentina, he was loaned again, this time to Hellas Verona on January 14, 2016. He played nine games for Hellas Verona but did not score any goals.
Success with Eintracht Frankfurt

Rebić joined Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt on loan on July 11, 2016. He reunited with his former national team coach, Niko Kovač. He scored his first goal for Frankfurt on February 5, 2017. On May 27, he scored in the 2017 DFB-Pokal Final, but Frankfurt lost the match.
He joined Eintracht Frankfurt for a second loan spell on August 31, 2017. That season, he scored nine goals and made three assists. On May 19, 2018, he scored two goals in the 2018 DFB-Pokal Final. This helped his club win their first cup since 1988, beating Bayern Munich. After this successful season, Eintracht Frankfurt bought Rebić permanently.
On August 10, 2018, Rebić signed a new contract with Eintracht Frankfurt until June 2022.
Time at AC Milan
2019–20 Season
On September 2, 2019, Rebić moved back to Italy and joined AC Milan on a two-year loan. He scored his first two league goals for Milan on January 19, 2020, in a 3–2 win against Udinese. A week later, he scored the winning goal against Brescia. On February 9, he scored in the Derby della Madonnina against Inter Milan. He continued his strong performance, scoring important goals in various matches. In total for the season, Rebić scored 12 goals and made 4 assists.
2020–21 Season: Key Contributions
On September 12, 2020, AC Milan bought Rebić permanently and he signed a five-year contract. He scored his first goal of the season on December 23, 2020, in a 3–2 win over Lazio. On May 9, 2021, he scored a fantastic goal in a 3–0 victory over Juventus, which was very important for Milan to qualify for the Champions League. Three days later, he scored a hat-trick against Torino in a 7–0 win. This season, Rebić scored 11 goals and made 3 assists.
2021–22 Season: Injuries
On September 12, 2021, Rebić assisted both goals in a 2–0 win over Lazio. Three days later, he made his Champions League debut and scored Milan's first goal in a 3–2 loss to Liverpool. On September 19, he scored against Juventus in a 1–1 draw. He faced some injuries during this season. On February 19, 2022, he scored a powerful goal from 25 yards against Salernitana, which was his first goal in five months.
Playing for Beşiktaş
On July 31, 2023, Rebić signed a two-year contract with Süper Lig club Beşiktaş in Turkey. His contract with Beşiktaş ended on July 31, 2024.
Joining Lecce
On August 26, 2024, Rebić returned to Italy and signed with Serie A club Lecce. He scored his first goal for Lecce on December 1, 2024, a last-minute goal that helped his team draw with Juventus.
International Career with Croatia
On July 31, 2013, Rebić was called up to the national team for the first time. He scored a goal just four minutes after coming on as a substitute in a 3–2 win against Liechtenstein.
He was part of Croatia's squad for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil. He played as a substitute in the opening match against Brazil. In their last group match against Mexico, he was sent off for a tackle.
Rebić was also selected for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. In the second group match against Argentina, he scored the first goal in a 3–0 win for Croatia. In the Round of 16 match against Denmark, Croatia won in a shootout. Rebić started in the final against France, which Croatia lost 4–2.
He scored his third international goal on March 24, 2019, against Hungary during the Euro 2020 qualifying campaign. Rebić was included in Croatia's squad for the UEFA Euro 2020. After the tournament, he was not called up for the national team for the September World Cup qualifiers.

In June 2018, it was reported that Rebić helped the people in his childhood village of Vinjani Donji by paying off their loans. In February 2021, he donated €10,000 to help build a new center for children's rehabilitation and education in Slavonski Brod.
