Early Life and Training
Anthony Boyle was born in west Belfast, Northern Ireland. He went to De La Salle College and St Louise's Comprehensive College. He started acting in local plays, even some he described as "the worst productions you’ve ever seen." One of these was a version of Romeo and Juliet, where he acted alongside his friend Lola Petticrew.
In 2013, Anthony began his professional acting training. He attended the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff. He graduated in 2016 with a special degree in acting. Anthony knows the history of his hometown well. He mentioned that the streets he walked for a TV show were the same ones he grew up on. His school was near a mural of Brendan Hughes, a person he later played in the show Say Nothing. Anthony has been best friends with actress Lola Petticrew since they were 11. He is also good friends with Frank Blake, another actor.
