Anthony Midget (born February 22, 1978) is an American football coach. He currently works as the assistant secondary coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This team is part of the National Football League (NFL). Before becoming a coach, he played college football at Virginia Tech. After a short time playing professionally, Midget started coaching. He began at the high school level and then moved up to college and the NFL.

Anthony Midget's Football Playing Days
Anthony Midget played high school football in Clewiston, Florida. He attended Clewiston High School. After high school, he went to Virginia Tech. There, he played football for four years. He was a starter for three of those years.
College Achievements and NFL Draft
After his final year at Virginia Tech, Midget earned several honors. He was named a third-team All-American. He was also first-team All-Big East. This meant he was one of the best players in his college conference. He was also part of the Big East All-Academic Team. This showed he was good at sports and school.
Midget was a Dean's List student. He earned his degree in sociology in 1999. In the 2000 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons picked him. He was chosen in the fifth round. He also spent two seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was on their practice squad, which means he trained with the team.
Anthony Midget's Coaching Career
After his playing career, Midget started coaching in 2002. His first coaching job was at Lake Worth High School in Florida. He held many roles there. He eventually became the assistant head coach and defensive coordinator.
Moving to College Coaching
In 2007, Midget returned to his old college, Virginia Tech. He worked there as a graduate assistant. After that, he moved to Georgia State. From 2008 to 2011, he coached defensive backs and special teams. In 2012, he became the defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach there.
In January 2013, he was briefly hired by Marshall. He was going to be a defensive assistant. But before he coached any games for Marshall, he got a new job. He was hired by Penn State to coach safeties.
Coaching in the NFL
In 2014, the Houston Texans hired Midget. He became their Assistant Secondary Coach. In 2018, he was promoted to Secondary Coach. On January 28, 2020, he joined the Tennessee Titans. He worked there as the secondary coach.
On January 9, 2023, the Titans' head coach, Mike Vrabel, announced a change. Midget was no longer with the team. However, on March 20, 2024, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced good news. They hired Midget as their assistant secondary coach.
