Anthony Midget was born on February 22, 1978. He is an American football coach. He currently works as the assistant secondary coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers. This team is part of the National Football League (NFL). Before becoming a coach, Midget played college football at Virginia Tech. After a short time playing professionally in the NFL, he started coaching. He coached at high schools, then colleges, and finally in the NFL.

Playing Football
Anthony Midget played high school football in Clewiston, Florida. He went to Clewiston High School. After high school, he played for Virginia Tech. He played there for four years and was a starter for three years.
College Achievements
After his last season at Virginia Tech, Midget received several honors. He was named a third-team All-American. He was also on the first-team All-Big East. Plus, he was part of the Big East All-Academic Team. This means he was good at football and also a great student. He was on the Dean's List and earned a degree in sociology in 1999.
NFL Draft and Teams
In the 2000 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons picked Midget in the fifth round. He also spent two seasons on the practice squad for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A practice squad is where players train with the team but are not usually on the main roster for games.
Coaching Career
After his playing days, Anthony Midget started coaching in 2002. His first coaching job was at Lake Worth High School in Florida. He held many roles there, eventually becoming the assistant head coach.
College Coaching
In 2007, Midget returned to his old college, Virginia Tech. He worked there as a graduate assistant. After that, he moved to Georgia State. From 2008 to 2011, he coached defensive backs and special teams. In 2012, he became the defensive coordinator and continued coaching defensive backs.
In January 2013, he was briefly hired by Marshall University. However, he soon moved to Penn State to coach safeties.
NFL Coaching
In 2014, the Houston Texans hired Midget as their Assistant Secondary Coach. He worked in this role for several years. In 2018, he was promoted to Secondary Coach for the Texans.
On January 28, 2020, Midget became the secondary coach for the Tennessee Titans. He worked with the Titans until January 9, 2023. On that date, the Titans' head coach, Mike Vrabel, announced that Midget had been fired.
Most recently, on March 20, 2024, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced they hired Anthony Midget. He is now their assistant secondary coach.
