Antonio de Andre Reynolds-Dean (born March 11, 1977) is an American basketball coach and former player. He is currently an associate head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs college team.
Antonio played college basketball at Rhode Island for four years. He was named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year in his first season. He finished his college career with over 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds. This made him one of only three players at Rhode Island to reach both milestones.
After college, he played professionally in Argentina and the IBA. In the IBA, he was the top rebounder and Rookie of the Year. He also played in Spain, where he was known for his rebounding and blocks. Antonio retired from playing in 2008 and started coaching. He has been an assistant coach for several college teams. In 2015, he was honored by being inducted into the University of Rhode Island Athletics Hall of Fame.

High School Basketball Years
Antonio Reynolds-Dean was born in Marietta, Georgia. He grew up in Atlanta and went to Douglass High School. In high school, he was known as Antonio Reynolds.
He joined the varsity basketball team in his second year. By his junior year, he was a top player in the state. He averaged 23 points, 13 rebounds, and 5 blocks per game. He was also named to the All-State second team.
In his final year of high school, Antonio continued to excel. He averaged 24.6 points, 15.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists, 5.1 blocks, and 2 steals per game. He was again chosen for the second-team all-state.
College Basketball Journey
Antonio Reynolds-Dean decided to play for Rhode Island. His coach, Al Skinner, put him in the starting lineup right away as a freshman. He started all 34 games that season. He averaged 12.1 points, 8.7 rebounds, and 1.7 blocks per game. He led his team in rebounds and blocks. His great performance earned him the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Year award.
In his second year, Antonio continued to lead the team in rebounds and blocks. He started all 30 games and was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team.
In 1997, he added "Dean" (his mother's last name) to his name. A new coach, Jim Harrick, took over for the 1997–98 season. Antonio kept his starting spot. He played 34 games, shooting a career-best 50.5% from the field. He averaged 11.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks per game. His 85 blocks that season ranked him 9th in the entire NCAA Division I.
The Rhode Island Rams made it to the Elite Eight in the 1998 NCAA tournament. In his senior year, Antonio was second on his team in scoring, rebounding, and blocks. He had his best averages in points (13.2), minutes (32.6), and assists (2.6) per game. The Rams won the Atlantic 10 Tournament that year.
Antonio finished his college career with 1,576 points, 1,028 rebounds, and 235 blocks. He started every one of his 131 games for the Rams.

Professional Playing Career
After college, Antonio Reynolds-Dean was eligible for the 1999 NBA draft but was not chosen by an NBA team. He played one game in Argentina before joining the Dakota Wizards in the IBA. During the 1999–2000 IBA season, he averaged 18.7 points and 12.2 rebounds per game. He led the league in rebounding and was named the IBA Rookie of the Year.
In September 2000, Antonio moved to Spain to play for CB Murcia. He played 30 games and averaged 18.2 points and 8.2 rebounds. The next season, he played for Manresa, averaging 15.3 points and 8.2 rebounds. In September 2002, he returned to Murcia. He helped his team win the league title and get promoted to the top Spanish league, Liga ACB.
In the top Spanish league, Antonio played 34 games, averaging 12.5 points and 6.5 rebounds. After that season, Murcia was moved back down to the second level. Antonio continued to play in Spain for several more years with different teams. He ended his professional playing career in Argentina in 2008.
Coaching Career
After retiring as a player, Antonio Reynolds-Dean became the director of basketball operations for the Fairfield Stags. He then became an assistant coach at Northeastern until 2014. He also worked as an assistant coach at College of Charleston and then returned to his alma mater, Rhode Island, in 2015.
After two seasons at Rhode Island, he moved to Clemson in 2017. In 2022, Antonio Reynolds-Dean accepted a new role as an Associate head coach for the Georgia Bulldogs under head coach Mike White.
Personal Life
Antonio is married to Johanna, and they have two daughters named Jasmine and Naomi. He earned a bachelor's degree in education from the University of Rhode Island. He also has a master's degree in sports leadership from Northwestern University.
