Antony Cotton (born Antony Dunn on 5 August 1975) is an English actor and comedian. He is famous for playing Sean Tully in the TV show Coronation Street. He also played Alexander Perry in the first Queer as Folk series. In 2007, Antony hosted his own talk show, That Antony Cotton Show. He won Let's Dance for Comic Relief in March 2013.

Antony Dunn was born in Bury, Greater Manchester, England. His mother, Enid Dunn, is also an actress. Antony went to Woodhey High School in Holcombe Brook. He also studied at the Oldham Theatre Workshop. He has an older brother named Andrew.
Acting Career Highlights
Antony Cotton has played the character Sean Tully since 2003. Sean is a barman and factory worker on Coronation Street. Antony's mother, Enid Dunn, also had several small roles on Coronation Street. Antony played "Alexander" in the first UK version of Queer as Folk. He also appeared in Absolutely Fabulous as "Damon".
TV Show Appearances
In 2007, Antony won the second series of ITV's Soapstar Superstar. He gave his prize money, £200,000, to the Elton John Aids Foundation. Later in 2007, he hosted That Antony Cotton Show. This show featured celebrity interviews and jokes. It was filmed in Manchester. The show ran for one series.
Antony appeared on Family Fortunes in 2008. He won £10,000 for his chosen charity. In December 2008, he was on Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? with co-star Suranne Jones.
He also took part in I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! in 2011. He stayed in the jungle for 21 days and finished in fourth place. Antony won Let's Dance for Comic Relief in March 2013. In 2018, he was a contestant on Dancing on Ice.

Antony Cotton first appeared in a film in 1998. He was in Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon with Daniel Craig. He also appeared in The Wisdom of Crocodiles in 1998.
Antony has performed in many plays at the Oldham Coliseum. These include The Fifteen Streets and The Hobbit. He also performed The Hobbit at Manchester's Palace Theatre. He was in Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Middlesbrough Theatre.
Charity Work and Recognition
Antony Cotton supports several charities. He is a patron for the Terrence Higgins Trust. He also supports the LGF and The Albert Kennedy Trust. He is a patron of military charities like Help for Heroes and the Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA).
Awards and Honours
In 2005, Antony won the Most Popular Newcomer award. This was at the National Television Awards for his role in Coronation Street. He also won Best Newcomer and Funniest Performance at the 2005 Inside Soap Awards. In 2006, he won Funniest Performance again.
At the 2007 British Soap Awards, Antony won Best Actor. The public voted for this award. He also won Best Actor at the Inside Soap Awards in 2007.
Antony Cotton was given the Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) award in 2022. This was for his services to the British Army, its personnel, and veterans.
