Anwan Glover's Music Career

Anwan Glover first became known in 1992 as a founding member of the BackYard Band. He is seen as the band's leader and is known as its "lead talker." The band started by "beating on buckets," which means they used everyday items to make music.

The band has released five albums. One of their albums, Hood Related, was very popular. It reached number 69 on the Billboard Magazine R&B albums chart in 1997. Anwan Glover says the band has lasted so long because they have a special connection. They liked their music, and their fans liked it too.
