Arapahoe (which is Hinono'ei in the Arapaho language) is a special kind of community in Fremont County, Wyoming, United States. It's called a census-designated place (CDP). This means it's like a town, but it doesn't have its own local government. In 2010, about 1,656 people lived there.
A long time ago, in 1884, a Catholic mission was started in Arapahoe. The beautiful St. Stephen's Mission Church, which is close to Arapahoe, is part of this historic mission.

Where is Arapahoe Located?
Arapahoe is found in the middle part of Fremont County. It's in the southeastern section of the Wind River Indian Reservation. This reservation is home to Native American tribes.
Arapahoe is also quite close to Riverton. Riverton is the biggest city in Fremont County. If you travel northeast from Arapahoe, it's about 8 miles (13 kilometers) to Riverton.
