Arcadia Bluffs Golf Club is a special place for playing golf. It opened in 1999 in Arcadia, Michigan. Two talented designers, Warren Henderson and Rick Smith, created the first course.
This golf club is built on high lands, called bluffs, right next to Lake Michigan. It covers about 245 acres (about 100 hectares) of land. The course goes down 225 feet (68 meters) from its highest point. It sits 180 feet (55 meters) above the lake. The club also has over half a mile (about 945 meters) of lakefront views.
Discovering Arcadia Bluffs Golf
The main golf course at Arcadia Bluffs was designed to look like famous seaside courses in Ireland. These courses are known as "links" courses. They have rolling hills and natural, tall grasses called fescues. The wind often blows across the course, just like by the ocean.
Playing golf here means you get amazing views of Lake Michigan. The course uses the natural landscape to make each hole unique and exciting. It's a challenging and beautiful place for golfers of all skill levels.
The South Course: A New Adventure
In 2018, the club added a second course called the South Course. This new course was designed by golf architects Dana Fry and Jason Straka. They looked to famous golf course designers like Charles Blair Macdonald and Seth Raynor for ideas.
The South Course offers a different style of play. It has its own unique challenges and beautiful views. Having two courses means golfers can enjoy different experiences at Arcadia Bluffs.
