Arcadia is a small community in Michigan, United States. It is located in Manistee County. Arcadia sits right next to the beautiful Lake Michigan.
Even though it is not a city, it is known as a "census-designated place" (CDP). This means the U.S. Census Bureau counts its population separately. In 2020, about 309 people lived there. Arcadia is known for its scenic location along the lake. It is also found along M-22, a well-known highway. The community has its own post office with the ZIP code 49613.
Geography of Arcadia
Arcadia is located in the northwestern part of Manistee County. To its west, you will find the large Lake Michigan. To the south, there is Arcadia Lake. This smaller lake connects to Lake Michigan through a special channel.
The main road through Arcadia is M-22. This highway goes north about 10 miles (16 km) to Elberta. It also goes south the same distance to Onekama. Manistee, which is the county seat, is about 23 miles (37 km) south.
