The Story of Arco
Arco was officially planned out in 1900. It was named after a place called Arcola in Italy. A post office has been open in Arco since 1900. This means people have been sending and receiving mail there for over 120 years!
For many years, a train line called the Chicago & Northwestern railroad served the town. This train line helped people and goods travel to and from Arco. The train line stopped running in 1970.
