Arenys de Munt is a cool town in Catalonia, Spain. Its name is a bit special! Arenys means "sands" (like from a seasonal river), and de Munt means "up hill." This helps you tell it apart from its neighbor, Arenys de Mar, which means "sands by the sea."
This town is located away from the coast, nestled in the el Corredor mountain range. It even includes a peak called el Montalt, which is 595 meters high! Arenys de Munt is known for its textile factories, especially for making soft towels. It's also famous for growing delicious strawberries and cherries, and for making tasty liqueurs.
You can easily get to Arenys de Munt by road. The B-511 road connects it to nearby towns like Arenys de Mar, Vallgorguina, and Sant Celoni. Did you know that the famous actor Daniel Brühl grew up here?
