Argyle is a small town located in Lafayette County, Wisconsin, United States. In 2010, about 436 people lived here. The small village of Argyle is also found within the town's borders.
Where is Argyle, Wisconsin?
The town of Argyle is in the northeastern part of Lafayette County. Its eastern edge touches the border of Green County. The village of Argyle is located in the southeastern section of the town.
Argyle covers a total area of about 92.2 square kilometers (about 35.6 square miles). Only a tiny part of this area, about 0.1 square kilometers, is water.
The East Branch Pecatonica River flows through the eastern part of the town. It passes right through the village of Argyle. The Yellowstone River joins the East Branch from the west. This happens just north of Argyle village. The East Branch then flows into the Pecatonica River. This larger river eventually joins the Rock River in Illinois.
