Armando Silvestre Carrascosa (born January 28, 1926 – died June 3, 2024) was a well-known American and Mexican actor. He had a long and successful career, appearing in many movies and television shows.
Life and Career
Armando Silvestre was born on January 28, 1926, in San Diego, California. However, his family was originally from Tijuana, Mexico. He started college but decided to leave to try a career in bullfighting. This is a sport where a person fights a bull. After getting seriously hurt by a bull, he decided to become an actor instead.
In 1960, Silvestre starred in a movie called Las rosas del milagro. This was a historical drama that took place during the time of the Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire. He was also in many other films, including The Scalphunters (1968) and Two Mules for Sister Sara (1970).
Silvestre was married to Leonor Plaza for a time, but they later divorced. He then married Blanca Estela Limon, who was an artistic representative. From 2011, he lived in California.
Death
Armando Silvestre passed away on June 3, 2024, at the age of 98. He died due to health problems.
