Aron Burton was born in Senatobia, Mississippi. When he was young, he sang in churches and started a singing group called the Victory Travelers with his cousin.

In 1955, Aron moved to Chicago, Illinois. His music career officially began the next year. He started playing the bass guitar for the legendary blues musician Freddie King. Freddie King even bought Aron his very first bass guitar!

Aron served in the United States Army from 1961 to 1965. After leaving the Army, he continued his music career. He played with groups like Baby Huey & the Babysitters and with Junior Wells. He toured with Junior Wells for several years, from 1969 to 1972. He also played with Fenton Robinson.

Aron helped record music for other artists too. He played on albums for musicians like Carey Bell. He even released his own song called "Garbage Man."

In 1978, Aron joined his brother, Larry, in Albert Collins's band, the Icebreakers. He played on Albert Collins's album Ice Pickin', which was nominated for a Grammy Award. He toured with Albert Collins for a few years.

In the late 1980s, Aron moved to Europe for a while. While there, he recorded an album called Usual Dangerous Guy with the famous piano player Champion Jack Dupree.

By the early 1990s, Aron Burton was back in Chicago. A record company released a collection of his songs called Past, Present, & Future in 1993. This album showed that Aron was not just a supporting musician, but also a great singer and leader.
