Geography
The Albertville district is located in the northern part of the Savoie département. It shares borders with the Haute-Savoie département to the north and Italy to the east. To the south, it borders the Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne district, and to the west, the Chambéry district.
This district is the largest in the Savoie département by size. It covers an area of about 2,466 square kilometers (about 952 square miles). It's also the second most populated district in Savoie.
