History of Sainte-Menehould Arrondissement
When the Marne department was first created in 1800, the Sainte-Menehould arrondissement was one of its original parts.
Later, in 1926, this arrondissement was actually removed. But it came back and became an arrondissement of the Marne department again in 1940.
Geography of Sainte-Menehould Arrondissement
The Sainte-Menehould arrondissement is located in the northeast part of the Marne department. It shares borders with other departments and arrondissements.

- To the east, it borders the Meuse department.
- To the south, it borders the Vitry-le-François arrondissement.
- To the west, it borders the Châlons-en-Champagne arrondissement.
